UTMB 2026 Adds Zugspitz and Oman to World Series

UTMB 2026 adds Zugspitz and Oman to the World Series, expanding the circuit to two striking new destinations. Both events celebrate culture, nature, and endurance at their heart.

The Salomon Zugspitz Ultra Trail powered by Ledlenser, held June 18-20 2026, joins as Germany’s premier alpine race. Set in Garmisch-Partenkirchen beneath the Zugspitze, it offers seven routes from 20K to 100 miles through rugged Bavarian terrain. Founded in 2011, it has grown into one of Europe’s most loved mountain ultras. Registrations open November 11 for UTMB Index holders.

In December, the Oman by UTMB returns to the calendar (Dec 10-12 2026), tracing ancient trade paths through the Hajar Mountains. Four race distances—20K, 50K, 100K, and 100M—connect historic villages and UNESCO sites amid desert peaks. The organisers have rebuilt over 200 km of trails, trained hundreds of volunteers, and championed sustainability and inclusivity, with female participation rising yearly.

Both Zugspitz Ultra Trail and Oman by UTMB reflect what the UTMB World Series stands for: authentic adventure, strong community, and deep respect for the land.

Registrations will open on February 3rd, 2026 for UTMB Index holders and on February 5th, 2026 for everyone at Oman.utmb.world/
